Functional Skills exams
How do they work?

To complete a Functional Skills qualification a candidate must complete a series of exams; this is different for each subject. Remote examinations are conducted by an invigilator through Microsoft Teams.
Mathematics
The Mathematics exam consists of one two-hour exam, which is split into two parts - a non-calculator section and a calculator section.
English
Unlike mathematics, the English exam consists of three separate exams that are sat at different times. They are split into three sections: Reading, Writing and Speaking, and Listening and Communication (SLC).
